Fast forward one year
You can imagine my horror when I came home to visit for Christmas and found my mother had signed me up for an adult dating site. Although I am was only 29, my family thought I would be hopelessly single forever. Mom had posted my fake profile and sorted through the men and chosen several that she thought I would like, She even communicated with them and could not wait to show me her catches. I convinced her that I would never use a dating site and certainly was not interested in anyone she would choose for me.
Fast forward one year when on a dare I signed up for a online dating site and met the love of my life. I am now married and we are expecting our first child in a few months. My mother still takes credit for initially getting me interested in using the Internet for finding men. I guess mom is always right, but I would suggest that you sign up for online dating before your mother does it for you.
